5 Ways To Start Self-Improvement Journey.

#1 Search for inspiring people on the Internet.

I know that many of you probably don't have anybody to give you wise advice or you need more support than your surrounding is able to give you. In this case, it's extremely tough to set big goals and work consistently, but I'm here today to tell you that you are ENOUGH to achieve whatever you want in life. I guarantee you that you don't have to have a degree to improve yourself. You need support and you can find the right person even on social media. There are so many people who talk out loud about topics that many of us struggle with on a daily basis such as, self-confidence, motivation, self-care ,etc. You can find tones of helpful videos on youtube. The only thing you need to do is do your own research and find somebody who you willingly listen to and take their words to heart.

#2 Unfollow accounts that distract or discourage you.

I've written about it many times, but I'll do it once again. Keep in mind that we follow ACCOUNTS, not real individuals. We can literally create who we want to be and many people tend to take advantage of it. It's extremely rare to show on social media our struggles, painful moments, weak moments, days when we don't feel like being productive, or make a to-do list. As a result, we feed each other with a fake reality.
It doesn't mean that you don't have a choice. You are in charge of what you provide your brain. I highly recommend you trying to follow only the content that makes you feel better and motivated.

#3 Figure out who you want to become.

In many cases we don't try to change something in our lives just because we don't know what the "something" really is. That's why we need to specify your targets so that we can create our own path. Not knowing exactly what you want is quite harmful to your time. In such a situation, we follow the crowd which may lead you to nowhere you would want it to.
You must know what you want to achieve, what are your goals, and who you want to become. When you know the answers, it's much easier to start working on certain features in your personality, because you know where you're lacking.

#4 Be curious.

I think it's one of the most underrated things when it comes to self-development, but how can you improve yourself and enjoy the process when you are not CURIOUS. It's the recipe to never get discouraged because you genuinely want to find out more, not because you want to be on the top. Let me tell you something. On the top you can be only for a certain amount of time, but a whole life during the process. That's why we should feel the inner need to learn something.
You may ask now: How can I do it? The answer is to get inspired.
There's no bigger motivation than being inspired and doing what satisfies you.

#5 Don't overwhelm yourself.

I see many people making the same mistake that I made at the beginning of my journey, which basically is doing too much. You should know your limits and focus on making the activity a habit. Consistency is a key to long term results, so it's better when you take little steps because this may prevent you from burnout. It's obvious that if you haven't run for 2 years, it's almost impossible to run a marathon just like that. The same thing refers to any other skill. You have to plan your sessions smartly and, as you get better, slowly increasing the number of hours you spend on a certain thing.
