8 Habits That Will Make You Successful

#1 Set clear and doable goals.
This one is crucial when it comes to success. It's not enough to do just something. We have to know the reason behind our actions. Otherwise, there's a huge possibility that you'll waste your precious time. So when we know why we need them the next step is to set overall goals. Then think about things you can do in a year to get closer. Then you're able to set monthly and daily goals. I know that it may seem a bit intimidating, but you don't have to do it overnight. Take your time, think, plan, and take the right action.

#2 Challenge yourself every day.
I've mentioned many times the importance of going out of your comfort zone, but many people don't know how to do it. Here's how. What you have to do is think about things you're normally too lazy to do, or they require a little bit more effort and then try to do them. It doesn't have to be anything huge. You can start by exercising 15 minutes every day, making your bed, or learning 5 words in another language daily. In order to achieve your goals, you have to feed your mind with the right actions. That's how you set the right mindset and grow as an individual.

#3 Set your mindset in the morning.
Having a good morning routine is not only healthy for your soul and body. It also helps you be more productive and effective. When you're organized from the beginning of the day, your brain receives  signals that it's time to wake up and get down to work. Of course, it costs a bit more effort, but a successful and satisfying life is based mainly on your work.

#4 Train self-discipline daily.
Some people say that the hardest part is to start, but I think that the hardest is to be consistent and push through it. We need to be aware that we were not born with self-discipline. It's a skill we need to master. That's the only way to not give up when things got rough.
Here's what you can do. Make a to do-list and stick to that. Do not overwhelm yourself. The point is to be real about what you can do. If you are not into sports, but you would like to be more fit, plan 15 minutes exercises instead of an hour. That's how you become more disciplined and slowly make progress.

#5 Plan your work smarter, not harder.
You don't have to work 24/7 to achieve what you desire in life. This approach may only cause burnout. That's just the opposite of what we want to reach.
Every day create a to-do list. Don't go crazy about it. I recommend planning about 5-6 things and 3 priorities. You have to explore yourself and figure out when are the most productive hours during the day. When you know it, you can plan to do this  harder stuff when you're the most effective. Also, remember about breaks. It's crucial to get the work done and enjoy the process.

#6 Listen to your body.
Your body is the best indicator of your health condition, so listen to it. Ambitious people tend to ignore body signs, but it may cause only health issues and dissatisfaction. When you are tired you may notice poor skin condition, being more hungry, mood changes, overthinking, and many other side effects of overwork. Please do yourself a favor and rest. Then you're able to come back with new energy.

#7 Reward yourself.
It's as important as doing your best at work. We are not machines. We are humans, and that's normal that we have our own needs. Don't try to get rid of them but find your balance. When you work really hard and do your best, you have to reward yourself. Otherwise, enjoying the process will be much harder, and most likely impossible. I need to mention that if you are on a diet and you try to eat healthily, try to not reward yourself with food too often. I know from my experience that it may lead you to binge eating, and then it's extremely hard to go out of this vicious circle.

#8 Train gratitude.
Being grateful is not the easiest skill to master. but it's necessary to live your best life. It's the only indicator if you are happy with your life or not. Look at how many rich or famous people are miserable and depressed. Money is important, but you can't buy feelings, skills, and true connections. These are actually things that, as human beings, make us feel fulfilled. We need to teach ourselves to appreciate little moments. If we can't do it, bigger things will only be more overwhelming.
